Thankful for Thanksgiving!

This Thanksgiving, my family had much to be thankful for. Just to name a few... I am thankful for us living in the same city again and being under one roof. I am thankful for Alex and I having jobs that we both enjoy and with schedules that we can handle while having two kids. I am thankful for having a wonderful pregnancy, labor and delivery of my precious Aubriella in June. I am thankful for Adaleigh's preschool and the fact that she absolutely loves her teachers and classmates and loves going 5 days a week (so much better than forcing her into daycare last year!). I am thankful for all of our extended family too! We enjoyed two Thanksgiving dinners again this year and we loved it. We spent lunch time with Alex's parents, grandma, and uncle, then we headed to Atlanta to have dinner with my parents and  one of my sisters (missed you Tara!).

After dinner in Atlanta, we went to the Macy's Great Christmas Tree Lighting at Lenox Square Mall. This was our second year going, so we may have just started a new tradition! Yay! It was fun. The weather was chilly, but tolerable. They had special guests like Scotty McCreery, Mary Mary, and more and ended the show with the lighting of the huge tree and tons of awesome fireworks!

Black Friday was a crazy day for me. I didn't sleep at all! I worked 3am-9am, then went home to find my street was blocked off with police tape with my house and whole frontyard included. I wasn't able to get to my house, so I parked down the street, went through people's backyards and hopped our fence. It was crazy. Turns out there was a shooting at my neighbor's. No one was hurt, but we're done with this neighborhood. Our house is on the market and we are officially keeping it up for sale until someone buys it. I want to get in a good school zone anyway, since Adaleigh will be starting kindergarten in a year and a half. After all that drama, my parents and sister came over for the evening. We got our Christmas tree, most of our decorations up around the house and had dinner together. It definitely calmed my worries after that hectic morning.

We found our tree!

It has been a fun holiday season thus far. I can not wait for Christmas and seeing all of our family. Next weekend we head to Florida to visit with some of my family and friends. :)
