From July 8-21, Alex, Adaleigh, Aubriella, and I went on a wonderful vacation. The best family vacation we've been on (not that we've been on one as a family of four, but still). It's definitely going to be difficult to top it because it was so fun, adventurous, and filled with awesome places. We did so many things that I can hardly remember all of them and it would take too much time to describe it all on this blog, so I shall share lots of pics and a few words...
St. Louis was fun. It was our first official stop (after the random one in Metropolis, IL to see Superman in the middle of the night). Highlights: Riding to the top of the Gateway Arch, the girls playing in the Spray Plaza fountains downtown, and yummy BBQ at Pappy's Smokehouse.
Next stop was Kansas City. We were actually there the day of the All-Star game, but didn't watch it. Crazy huh? Definitely crazy for Alex who becomes obsessed with baseball and the Braves every year around this time. Highlights: LegoLand, shopping, Lincoln Memorial, and buying fudge (vacation is never complete without fudge!).
We then traveled to a random, but lovely town... Lincoln, the capital of Nebraska. I really fell in love with this town. It had the small town feel that obviously I love, but also a little city that I love too. Anytime I find a good balance of the two, I fall in love. I honestly believe I'm a little bit city and lil bit country. Highlights: Pioneer Park, our lovely hotel room (more of like a condo) for the night, Sunken Gardens, eating at Runza (yes a fast food lunch was a highlight... not really the food, but we just had a lot of fun there).
I will update more later with the rest of the trip...

Summer Fun!
Time has been getting away from me. I've been wanting to blog for a month now and now that I have a chance to, I completely forgot all that I wanted to write about. Figures.
Alex is enjoying his training with Cracker Barrel. It will be nice when he is finally home though. The girls and I miss him. I miss being a family. August 1st can't get here soon enough! Having him in LaGrange and being able to see him every day is going to be so refreshing. We need normalcy and routine again.
Adaleigh did amazing with her two sessions of swimming lessons. She went for 4 weeks and she improved more than any of us would have expected. The teachers called her the M.I.S. (Most Improved Swimmer). She went from not wanting to put her head underwater to swimming like a fish. She can now dive for rings, do a front float and back float, and swim butterfly style. She's still working on her coordination for the freestyle swim, but I could not be any more proud. We will spending as much time at the pool as possibly considering I know have two girls that love the water. My water babies...
Aubriella just turned 1. I cannot believe it. She is turning into a cute little toddler. She already has such a funny personality. I love my goofy girls. They must really take after me and their dad. I'm totally okay with be a silly family. It keeps life fun. Aubriella is not walking yet, but she's close. She has taken 3 steps on her own, but her favorite mode of transportation is still crawling.
This is my final week of classes for the summer. Thank goodness! I'm ready for my last little break. When I start classes in August, I will finish in December as a graduate! It's about time. Only took me 8 years.
On Sunday, Alex, the girls, and I will be headed on vacation. We are drive to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for my cousin's wedding. I am beyond excited for this trip. I have always wanted to take a family road trip and see the country. Some of our pitstops include St. Louis, Kansas City, Sioux Falls, Rapid City (Mount Rushmore), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Louisville. I'm not sure how we are going to fit all that fun into 2 weeks, but we are gonna try our best! I better start packing now...

Adaleigh is also doing great with Ballet & Tap class. She is loving it. She is learning so much. One thing that I've noticed this summer is that I must be doing something right because she follows directions extremely well.
For Father's Day, we visited ZooAtlanta. What a fun day.
